Tehran Cedar hostel opening ceremony with local dolls
The Cedar hostel was a long forgotten house when we finally found it four months ago. It was early summer and we were welcomed by a garden filled with figs, bitter oranges, mulberries, sycamore trees and a building that have seen better days. We quickly understood that we had our work cut out for us to restore this building.
With hope in our hearts, we spent long days and nights filling Cedar with love, and precious memories and again giving her the chance to share them with her residents.
Finally we did it. Opening night of our beautiful house.
We were delighted to share this evening with Local Persian Dolls. Dolls created in villages around Iran as part of a culture and art conservation project.
We are grateful to all of families, friends, and kind ones who directly or indirectly supported us in helping Cedar.
We are heading to a better future and still need your kind support.
